Defensive Structure

Recently I have been feeling so much confusion about all of the things surrounding me. There is a song that I have been been listening to recently, and the words really stick to me. In this song it talks about how God will take of your past and create something beautiful from it. God has helped me so much in the past couple of years, and I am so thankful to Him for that. Sometimes it is hard to not be like Lot's Wife, and look behind you. When I hear that story, I can't help but think she looked, because she still longed to live in the past. Change means doing something different, and that isn't always the easiest thing to do. Being in your comfort zone can become so relaxing, that is to difficult to let go of the things surrounding you, and to branch out.
I am going to share with you some of the lyrics to a song that really spoke to me.
--------------------------------------------------
♫ After all this has passed, i still will remain
After i've cried my last, there'll be beauty from pain
Though it won't be today,
Someday i'll hope again
And there'll be beauty from pain
You will bring beauty from my pain ♫
---------------------------------------------------

Honestly, I am not wanting to damper anyone's good mood, but I am merely sharing some things that God is showing me. There are times when we need someone to lean on, and God should be our fortress in that time. The definition of fortress is: a fortified defensive structure. That means the according to the Bible, God will be our "defensive structure." We can hang on to the promise that even though it feels like we are hanging on by a thread, we have defensive structure from heaven, and WE ARE NOT ALONE!
