Our Hope

As I was reading my devotions tonight, a promise from God caught my attention. "The hope of the righteous shall be gladness: but the expectation of the wicked shall perish" Proverbs 10:28(KJV).
All of the church get-togethers, worship services, and times of happiness are all hope from God. When we take the time to be be positive and happy, we are bringing hope into our lives. How can we expect to bring hope to the lost, when they hear us complain about all of the problems in the world? If hope is in our happiness, that means that happiness is the key to being a good witness.
God shows as the simplest ways to bring light into the darkness. All we have to do is heed his instructions. It makes a lot of sense that this is the tool, because I have always been drawn to people that are just plain happy. When you are around positive people, you leave with the thought, Wow, there is hope in life!.
My goal, is to be a pleasant person. I wish to be an instrument of God, that shows people that he is their hope.
